After understanding the different types of games that your kids play, are you able to identify a set of different skills that are recognized and valued online?
How could we create the platform for them to exhibit these skills and to be recognized?

Hmm, I think one of the skills valued online is achievement. It can come in the form of winning a game or simply completing a single level in a multi-level game. Some are competitive against other online players while some are not and only involve the individual player.
A way that parents help their kids meet their achievement needs is to pose challenges for their kids to complete. These 'challenges' need to be attainable while still retaining a certain level of difficulty. Such challenges can be household chores or errands and after completing them, parents can outwardly acknowledge this achievement through words of praise or actions!
